That'll work.

Hmmmm. How would a lap dog respond to being called a lapdog. It's like an experiment.

Kos - Boehner calls Blue Dogs what they are: lap dogs

The House Republican leader is right:

Boehner slammed the fiscally conservative House Blue Dog coalition in an appearance this morning at a seminar sponsored by Yale Club and Federal Policy Group, just one day after he suggested to reporters that GOP leaders had not reached out to the conservative Democrat coalition.

To chuckles from the assembled lobbyists, Boehner called the Blue Dogs “lap dogs” and said they refuse “to get off people’s laps and actually do something.”

Good move by Boehner, because he -- better than most -- knows that he and his Republican colleagues have been the tail that has waged the Blue Dogs. Suddenly, the Blue Dogs are trapped between their usual proclivities for fucking the Democrats and a popular president. Boehner is trying to shame them back into his corner.

Well, they've got a choice to make. Here's some data to help them pick sides:

Research 2000 for Daily Kos. 3/16-19. Adults. MoE 2% (3/8-12 results)

When Mr. 13% is mocking you, perhaps it's time to reassess your priorities? Perhaps being the GOP's lapdog isn't everything that it's made out to be?
